Ginsters appoints new MD

Ginsters has appointed Stephanie Hildon as its new Managing Director, from 7th May 2024.

Stephanie, currently Chief Executive of Langmead Herbs, will step into the role following current MD, Sam Mitchell’s move to become the MD for the Savoury Pastry category at Samworth Brothers.

Stephanie has been in her role at Langmead Herbs since February 2018, after 25 years in commercial roles selling products ranging from baby food to sofas.

During her time at Langmead Herbs, Stephanie has almost doubled its value, growing it from a £13m business to a £24m business. She has achieved this by turning loss to profit through a combination of winning new retailer contracts and improving operational efficiencies.

Stephanie began her career in consumer marketing after completing a degree in Mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge. Stephanie’s first role was at Johnson & Johnson, before spending 18 years building a strong foundation in brand marketing, brand strategy and sales skills in both consultancy and client-side roles before moving to G Plan Upholstery Ltd in 2014 as Brand Director.

Stephanie was quickly promoted to Commercial Director, with responsibility for the Marketing, Sales and Design functions within the business and before being promoted to Chief Executive of the G Plan business 2 years later.

Stephanie brings with her a passion and energy for driving the vision of the business, for product innovation and for building strong customer relationships. Stephanie is enthusiastic about working with the team at Ginsters to continue to accelerate the brand’s growth.

Stephanie Hildon said: “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of MD at Ginsters. It’s a phenomenal brand with a rich history and a firmly established position as category leader. Recent work from the brand has been incredible and has delivered real cut through and I can’t wait to join the team and be part of the brand’s continuing success.”

Sam Mitchell, MD of Savoury Pastry at Samworth Brothers, said: “Leading the Ginsters team has been an absolute privilege. I am delighted I will still be working with the Ginsters brand in my new role at Samworth Brothers and am confident that Stephanie will do a brilliant job as MD. I wish Stephanie huge success in her new role, and look forward to working together in an exciting new chapter for Ginsters.”
