Last night saw the launch of Made in Lincolnshire with a drink’s reception at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln.
The launch introduced the awards and the entry process, with a presentation of Charlotte Horobin, Interim Director Midlands and East for EEF, the manufacturer’s organisation. She discussed the role and importance of manufacturing across the region.
There was also a short presentation from one of last year’s winners Avalon Cabins, joint winners of ‘To Be Made in Lincolnshire’.
Made in Lincolnshire seeks to celebrate the area’s excellence in manufacturing and its well-earned reputation for innovation within the sector. It also aims to showcase the diversity and creativity of those manufacturing in Lincolnshire.
Manufacturing is a very important sector for Greater Lincolnshire based on its contribution to the UK economy. The sector delivers a direct economic value to the Greater Lincolnshire economy of £3.4 billion per year and will play a significant part in the future economic growth of the region.
With entries now open, interested parties have until Friday 14th April 2017.
Made in Lincolnshire 2017 is hosted by Streets Chartered Accountants, NatWest and Business Lincolnshire.
