i2r Packaging Solutions set to exhibit at the Responsible Packaging Expo

Leading aluminium tray producer, i2r Packaging Solutions, has announced that it will be exhibiting at the Responsible Packaging Expo, scheduled to take place on 10-11 October 2023 at London’s ExCeL. The company is exhibiting on stand W13.

At the event, i2r will be showcasing a range of samples including its traditional standard wrinklewall ‘food service’ containers. Also on display will be its premium range of Eclipse aluminium containers, which combine quality with an aesthetic appeal making them ideal when a premium appearance is needed.

“This exhibition is an ideal platform to interact with enthusiasts eager to delve deeper into the many benefits of aluminium,” said Michael Goor, i2r’s head of new channel sales. “Our extensive experience across various markets positions i2r as a preferred partner when a responsible packing solution is paramount.”

On day one of the show at 13.15, i2r will team up with Alupro, the industry-funded, not-for-profit organisation that represents the UK’s aluminium packaging industry, for an insightful seminar entitled ‘Sustainability and Innovation in Aluminium Food Packaging’. This session aims to enlighten attendees about aluminium’s remarkable sustainability narrative, packed with crucial statistics, data and information about how aluminium foil packaging could align with new governmental directives. The session will also include an outlook into the future for this ”responsible” pack format choice.

“Together with Alupro, we’re thrilled to spotlight aluminium as an exemplary packaging choice, especially for the food service and ‘food to go’ sectors,” added Goor. “The seminar promises a comprehensive overview of aluminium packaging’s sustainability journey, coupled with a forecast on the evolving landscape influenced by new governmental regulations.”

A winner of two Queens Awards for Enterprise, i2r is Europe’s largest aluminium tray producer. Manufacturing over 1.2 billion products annually, it supplies many major food producers and retail brands, as well as to wholesaler and distributor markets worldwide, including Central & Northern Europe, Asia, North & South America and Australia.
