The organiser of London Packaging Week, Easyfairs, has announced an exciting array of last-minute additions to the event’s conference programme.
This sees representatives from Diageo, Kellanova, Pernod Ricard, Néstle, Pizza Express, The National Gallery, Amazon, Adobe Live, and Twinings join the more than 50 experts already lined up to speak across the event’s two days, offering unparalleled insights on three specialised stages. Whether you’re interested in luxury lifestyle firms, future innovations in the beauty and drinks markets, or trends in everyday FMCG packaging, the event promises content and discussions for everyone involved in the packaging industry.
On Wednesday, 11 September, from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM, “Decoding the Mind: Measuring the Impact of Design on Consumer Behaviour” will explore how packaging influences purchasing decisions in the food and consumer goods sectors. Industry experts Iain Amos (Twinings), Leo Hadden (BrandOpus), Thom Noble (Cloud Army), and Tim Sykes (Packaging Europe) will share the latest insights from consumer neuroscience, revealing the psychological triggers that shape consumer perceptions and choices.
The “Conscious Consumerism: Inclusive Packaging Designed for Everyone” session delves into the rising trend of inclusive packaging, which goes beyond aesthetics and functionality to embrace social responsibility and represent diverse demographics. Industry experts, including Marc Powell from Unilever, Stefan Casey from Nestlé, Lucy Burgess from design agency Touch, and Katie Roselaar from ThePackHub, will share their insights on Day 2 from 11:30 PM – 12:15 PM, with the discussion moderated by Waqas Qureshi of Packaging News.
Another featured session, “Beyond Conventional: Unlocking Innovation for Beauty and Beverages,” will explore strategies for cultivating organisations that excel in market disruption. Attendees will discover the tools, trends, and capabilities needed to drive groundbreaking innovations in packaging. The session, taking place on Day 1 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Beauty & Drinks stage, will include insights from William Connolly, Senior Principal Scientist at Diageo, Lena Danielsson, Breakthrough Innovation Director at Pernod Ricard, Lauren McKenzie, Head of New Product Development at SA Designer Parfums, and Tanguy Pellen, Senior Partner at Skarbek.

The session titled “Connected Packaging: Revolutionizing Consumer Engagement Now” will feature Steve Wardle, Senior Manager of Packaging & Artwork at Kellanova, and Jenny Stanley, Founder and Managing Director at Appetite Creative. They will discuss how connected packaging is transforming consumer engagement and is scheduled for Wednesday, 11 September, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Food & Consumer Pack stage.
Leading global design platform and community for packaging design, Pentawards, will power some of the conferences, with a particular focus on how design and branding will continue to evolve. Design Bridge and Partners, alongside Diageo, will share their plans to redefine luxury packaging for iconic British brands, demonstrating how they intend to stay relevant in an evolving market.
On Day 2, discussions will focus on the importance of inclusivity in design, with industry leaders outlining strategies to support Black creatives and foster diversity. Additionally, sessions will explore future approaches to packaging for The National Gallery and the revitalisation of PizzaExpress’s chilled pizza brand.
Elsewhere, world-renowned consultant dermatologist and Joonbyrd Founder Dr. Alexis Granite will participate in the “Brands to Watch: Businesses Blowing Up in 2025” session alongside Noah Bier, Founder & CCO at Makers Cabinet, and Amir Gehl, Founder at Difference Coffee, on Thursday, 12 September, from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM.
London Packaging Week 2024 will take place on 11 & 12 September in halls S5 and S6 of ExCeL.
