London Packaging Week 2024 has unveiled the inaugural finalists for the highly-anticipated Innovation Awards.

Among the finalists are various groundbreaking designs from emerging and established brands, each demonstrating remarkable innovation, creativity, and a commitment to sustainability. This year’s entries represent the forefront of packaging evolution from avant-garde packaging for luxury spirits to eco-conscious beauty solutions.

The final 50, selected from hundreds of entries, will be displayed in a dedicated area during London Packaging Week, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to experience these exceptional designs up close. The winners will be announced during the prestigious Awards Ceremony on Thursday, 12 September, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where the best in packaging innovation will be honoured for their contributions to advancing the industry.

“The finalists exemplify a remarkable commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional packaging,” said co-chair Christelle Anya. This year’s entries reflect a transformative shift in the packaging industry. The level of innovation and attention to detail displayed by the shortlisted brands is truly inspiring. Each design meets the highest standards of aesthetics and functionality and demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to environmental responsibility.

“This year’s awards highlight how brands are redefining packaging by embracing new materials, advancing recyclability, and enhancing user experience, setting a powerful example for the industry’s future.”

Paul Jenkins, Managing Director of ThePackHub and LPW Innovation Awards Co-Chair, added: “The ingenuity and creativity exhibited in this year’s entries are exceptional, with each design breaking new ground of what packaging can achieve by blending functionality with great aesthetics. It is inspiring to witness the commitment to sustainability from both emerging and established brands. Their innovative use of sustainable materials and practices is setting a new industry benchmark.”

Jenkins continued: “The remarkable level of detail and thoughtfulness in these designs highlights that each entry showcases not just a product, but a vision for the future of packaging that prioritises both consumer experience and environmental impact.
