Miko Coffee, one of the world’s oldest and most renowned coffee roasters, has received an award for Coffee Producer Company of the Year.
With 23 offices throughout Europe, Australia and South Africa and an active partnership with the World Land Trust, Miko are unique in their approach. They care not only about delivering outstanding customer service and refined, delicious coffee, but also about where the coffee comes from. €1 million from sales of their bestselling organic coffee brand Puro has been used to purchase and protect over 15,000 acres of South American rainforest. Thanks to Miko’s efforts, long-threatened flora and fauna are flourishing again in those areas.
“We are elated to have received such a prestigious award,” says Adrian Stagg, Managing Director at Miko Coffee. “It stands as recognition of the great things we have achieved with Puro, and of our commitment to delivering an unreservedly positive, hands-on, tailor-made customer experience.”
Miko’s success is largely thanks to their dedication to keep improving and expanding their coffee offerings, customer service experience and environmental efforts. In 2014, they began roasting coffee in the UK for the first time and launched two new coffees – Freehand and Hand Roasted in Cornwall. They also opened a new Head Office in Chertsey, Surrey with bigger and better training facilities and much larger show rooms.
